WELCOME TO THE DIVISION OF LOGISTICS SERVICES (DLS)

The Division of Logistics Services (DLS) provides valuable services to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and its 27 Institutes and Centers as the central liaison for logistic functions.  DLS is the proponent for NIH logistics policies, interpreting and implementing Federal and HHS logistics regulations, and coordinates with the General Accounting Office (GAO), General Services Administration (GSA), Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) organizations, other Government agencies and the private sector for supply chain management, property asset administration, and transportation management.

DLS integrates supply chain processes including e-commerce, e-business, information technologies, warehousing and distribution channel management to enhance efficiencies and customer value.  DLS is responsible for NIH reporting requirements governing property assets and fleet management in compliance with Executive Order mandates, and the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA).

Our Vision is to provide responsive and superior logistics to the NIH community in a customer-focused approach.  Our continuous improvement through innovation and technology aims to deliver quality products and agile service to support the NIH.

The DLS Mission manages all aspects of supply chain management, property administration, and transportation management programs that is transparent, responsive and efficient.
