SCREENING AT THE PROPERTY REUTILIZATION AND DISPOSAL SECTION
Where can I screen and what can I expect to find there?
Refurbished and used furniture are available at a cost at the Property Reutilization and Disposal Section. Used lab equipment (i.e. microscopes, hoods, refrigerators) and used information technology equipment (i.e. computers, printers, and computer accessories) are also available for reutilization at the Property Reutilization and Disposal Section to NIH employees at no charge. Shipping and transportation of those items back to your business area for official use are at your expense.
When can I go to inspect and screen excess at the Property Reutilization and Disposal Section?
You can screen property at the Property Reutilization and Disposal Section between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm Monday through Thursday where they get new items daily or you can schedule an appointment for screening by emailing Christopher Batzel at [email protected] or (301) 402-5044.
All screening must be done in person as property is available at no charge on a first-come, first serve basis. You can contact PRDS at 301-496-4247. (Property Reutilization and Disposal Section is opened from 8 am to 2:00 pm Monday to Friday)
