How do I request a shipment?
To request a shipment, review the Pre-Shipment Considerations and complete the appropriate Forms for your type of shipment.
How can I request pick up of my shipment? How will my request be confirmed?
If you have carefully considered the Pre-Shipment Considerations and completed the appropriate Forms for your type of shipment, then you should request pick up of your shipment by email or phone only. To request shipment pick up include your name, address (including building and room number) and your CAN in your request. Your request should also include
- type of existing packaging (envelope, box, etc.),
- number of packages and approximate weight of each,
- contents of each package, and
- whether the package contains hazardous materials including infectious substances or dry ice.
You will also be asked to verify that legible forwarding and return addresses are on each package. Email your request to email box or call in your request to 301-496-5921. Once your request is received, your pick up order will be confirmed in the same manner that you made your request. (Autoemails should be sent from the email box.) All pick up orders emailed or called in before 1:00 pm will be picked up and shipped the same day. Walk in orders have to be delivered by 2:30 pm to be shipped the same day.
